Someone Else Drops Off or Picks Up Your Pet For You
If you have made arrangements for someone else to drop off or pick up your pet for any services, let The Ranch know who that authorized person is. We do not accept or release pets from other than the owner unless prior arrangements have been made.
Belongings from Home
We encourage bringing your own food, bedding and toys so your pet is comfortable during their stay. We will supply food at no extra charge. Bedding can be provided upon request. We do not charge for extra feedings. All Items brought in with pets must be labeled with the pet name / owner last name. Please, no glass or ceramic containers or large cedar or foam filled beds. Do not bring your pet’s favorite toys. We will take every care with your possessions, but we will not be responsible for items lost or eaten. Keep in mind we do not guarantee return of these items, please only bring items you consider to be “disposable”.
For the safety of your pet all pets arriving or being picked up must be on a leash or in a carrier. We remove all choke chain collars and return them to you along with your leash.
Admissions: We reserve the right to deny admittance to pets lacking proof of vaccinations, and/or pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, parasites and/or aggressive behavior.
We reserve the right to charge handling fees for excessively difficult or aggressive pets requiring additional staff and\or additional time in order that we may deliver proper care. We will not board a pet that could be a hazard to the safety and health of our employees.
Upon admission for services, your signature of contract acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our policies. Minimum age for all services is 4 months of age with a minimum of two sets of vaccinations current.
Diets: The Ranch feeds premium diets for dogs & cats twice daily (more feedings can be requested). You are welcome to bring your own diet but please pre-bag the feeding portions in zip-locks marked with your last name & pet's name.
Geriatric Charges in some cases may be added daily if we deem necessary for the health, safety and welfare of your pet.
Grooming & Baths on Departure Why my dog may need a bath before coming home? Boarded pets do not stay as clean as they do at home for several reasons. Dogs are very active at The Ranch and although our staff is vigilant in sanitation and cleaning, dogs may soil their feet and legs. Longer coated breeds will become more soiled than shorter coats but to ensure a happy and sweet smelling homecoming - a fresh smelling bath, brush & nails, or a complete grooming should be scheduled for your departure date.
Sanitary Clean-Ups: Our policy is not to send home smelly pets, thus any pet at The Ranch (regardless of the number of days in the stay) may need a clean-up for various reasons which we charge the owner at a very nominal charge. We use our discretion (nose) on dogs to determine if they should have a clean-up before being picked up. Owner will be charged for all clean-up baths. A clean-up shampoo & dry is exactly as stated and is not to be confused with any of our premium baths or grooming services.
Health: All pets arriving must be in good health with vaccination records current. Any pet with signs of pest infestations will be bathed at the owners expense. Grooming or bathing is recommended for all pets at departing date. Any pet requiring medical attention will be taken to the veterinarian. Charges will be at the owner's expense. Every effort will be taken to contact you prior to any veterinary visits.
Medication Administrations: Are charged as follows:
$2 per visit to the run
Note - Extensive medications may be charged additionally according to the administration times and frequency. Please check with us prior to your boarding date regarding all medical issues and any extensive medication requirements for your pet.
Emergency Contact Numbers: Every attempt will be made to provide the care necessary for your pet should an emergency occur. It is important that you leave a phone number where you can be reached or an emergency contact person so that communication between you and the veterinarian can take place in a timely manner. If there is an emergency situation, we contact your veterinarian first. If he or she is unavailable, we contact a close local veterinarian. Then we call you at your emergency number. Please notify us at check-in about any pertinent medical history or problems with your pet.
